You've done it! The resume made it past the computer filters, past HR, the boss says bring him in. Now what?
First, if you haven't worked at the property before you'll called in for an "interview". This is a pre-screening. The use the guise of needing some additional information. All they want to do is make sure you're presentable. DRESS UP!!! It can't hurt and it will set you apart from the crowd.
Second, you have the bosses interview. This is where you make it or break it. There is a new format out there called a "group" interview? It is a team building/ get to know you en masse. A round robin format where they look at how you carry yourself, your speaking ability, and your ability to lead your co-workers. An assertive, co-operative attitude is best for this format. Lots of emphasis on key words; team work, going the extra mile, 5 star service. Basically, if they have posters posted, repeat what they say in a motivated, excited, and being there and working for the hotel is the best thing you have ever done!
At Wynn you come in and interview with the manager for your department. If he likes you, you're in. If not, there is a long list of candidates they are looking at.
At M they use the group format.
At Cosmopolitan they use the group format as well
